Fino a ora la sua vita dipendeva in tutto e per tutto da suo marito James (Jason Clarke) ma quando a Gina si presenta la possibilità di un intervento chirurgico per recuperare la vista, la relazione tra moglie e marito inizia a vacillare.Dopo l'intervento Gina finalmente vede il mondo con un nuovo senso di stupore e di indipendenza fino a scoprire inquietanti e terribili verità sul suo matrimonio. Ma chi è veramente l'uomo che ha sposato e di cui lei si fidava di più?
