Trama:
Anni '30: il regista Carl Denham si trasferisce nelle isole Skull, nei pressi di Sumatra, per girare un documentario. Giunta sul posto, la troupe scopre il gorilla King Kong, che vive in una giungla in cui alcune creature preistoriche sono state protette e nascoste per milioni di anni. Quando Kong incontra la bella Ann Darrow, cede al suo fascino e finisce per farsi catturare e trasportare a New York, dove viene rinchiuso in una gabbia ed esibito alla folla. Ma poi...
