Remake del colossal del 1959 vincitore di ben 11 premi Oscar e basato sul romanzo del 1880 di Lew Wallace, BEN-HUR racconta l'epica vicenda di Giuda Ben-Hur, un giovane dalle nobili origini che è ingiustamente accusato di tradimento dal proprio fratello adottivo Messala, ufficiale dell'esercito Romano. Privato del titolo, separato dalla famiglia e dalla donna che ama, Giuda è ridotto in schiavitù. Dopo anni passati per mare, Giuda fa ritorno alla propria terra d'origine per cercare vendetta, ma trovando invece la salvezza.
