Trama:
Un vecchio libro che contiene sei storie sul vecchio West apre le sue pagine per trasferirle, una dopo l'altra sullo schermo. Si va da Buster Scruggs pistolero cantante fino a una diligenza stipata di persone dirette passando attraverso impiccagioni e filoni d'oro.
I Coen, come è praticamente loro regola, minimizzano. Affermano di aver scritto dei racconti western e di aver poi desiderato di metterli insieme come nei film a episodi degli anni Sessanta italiani. Volevano i migliori registi disponibili e sono lieti che entrambi (cioè loro) abbiano accettato.
