Trama:
Patchi è un cucciolo di dinosauro erbivoro, gracile e pacifico, suo padre è il capo del branco e il suo fratello maggiore e spaccone è predestinato a seguirne le orme. I due si ritroveranno però ben presto orfani in una foresta incendiata attraversata durante la migrazione. Patchi non dovrà solo crescere in fretta ma anche prendere coscienza del fatto che per essere la guida del branco non è necessario solo battere fisicamente gli avversari ma anche essere in grado di assumersi le responsabilità delle decisioni più difficili.
