Trama:
Angela (Florence Pugh) e Jackson (Ben Lloyd-Hughes) sono un fratello e una sorella che speculano su finti fenomeni paranormali. Sfruttando il dolore di chi è stato colpito da un lutto ed è psicologicamente ed emotivamente vulnerabile, convincono il malcapitato a credere che Angela abbia la capacità di contattare i morti. Quando vengono contattati dalla signora Green (Celia Imrie) per liberare una casa infestata dagli spiriti, scoprono che quel luogo era l’orfanotrofio che un tempo fu teatro di una serie di omicidi di giovanissime. Ben presto Angela perde il controllo della situazione e diventa sempre meno sicura di ciò che è reale. I finti investigatori paranormali subiscono l’ultimo colpo quando si trovano di fronte ai veri orrori e al terrificante passato che si nascondono in questa casa maledetta.
