Il grande sogno di Maya è un anime prodotto nel 1984.
Trama
Maya Kitajima ha 13 anni. Non è particolarmente carina, né più intelligente delle sue coetanee: è una ragazza comune. Ma la sua passione per la recitazione non ha eguali, tanto da scappare di casa per entrare nella compagnia teatrale della signora Tsukikage. Qui scoprirà l’amicizia, l’invidia e la severità del mondo, ma anche le nuove emozioni regalate da un misterioso ammiratore che le invia rose ad ogni esibizione, e la lotta senza quartiere per assicurarsi i diritti de “La Dea Scarlatta”, una leggendaria piecè teatrale gelosamente custodita dall’inflessibile signora Tsukikage, e che nessuno sembra essere all’altezza di interpretare.
