Hinako, una ragazza che ama il surf, si trasferisce in una città sul mare. Durante un incendio, viene salvata da Minato, un vigile del fuoco. L'incontro fa sì che avvenga un'improbabile fusione tra i due giovani appartenenti a due elementi della natura tra loro opposti. Minato un giorno però annega in mare. Mentre tutti cercano di andare avanti, Hinako si aggrappa allo spirito dell'amico, che riappare sotto forma di acqua.
